Open approach.

This year marks a major milestone in my career—I’m honored to be part of Danmarks Næste Klassiker, the Danish TV competition where designers push the boundaries of contemporary design. But this season is different: instead of working in a studio, we are designing for real-life locations—creating solutions for iconic landmarks like Tivoli, Copenhagen Central Station, and Glyptoteket.
From a waiting seat for commuters to an outdoor lamp for Tivoli, each challenge is deeply rooted in its surroundings, making the process both thrilling and demanding. Designing for real spaces, where the final pieces will live beyond the cameras, adds an entirely new dimension to the competition.
A Conversation About Good Design
Being part of this program is more than just creating objects—it’s about sparking a conversation. What makes good Danish design today? How do we merge functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in a way that feels relevant?
I believe in telling positive climate stories through design, and this competition gives me the perfect platform to showcase how sustainability can be playful, engaging, and deeply integrated into our daily lives. Whether it’s through material choices, circular thinking, or innovative forms, my goal is to create pieces that don’t just exist but make an impact.
The journey begins February 18th on DR1 and DRTV—I can’t wait to share this experience with you
