Episode 2 and a little bench
“Before anything goes wrong, there’s no reason to worry about it.”
That’s my life philosophy—and watching myself say this on Danmarks Næste Klassiker made me realize how much it shaped this episode’s process.
After the pressure of the first challenge, this time felt completely different. The process just flowed. I could feel the design taking shape naturally, and for the first time, I felt fully confident because I knew the result reflected 100% me.

The turning point? A highly successful mock-up session with Niels in my workshop. Getting hands-on early in the process gave me the clarity I needed. It showed me that sometimes, the right collaboration can unlock the entire design journey.
One of the biggest contributors to this feeling was working with Dinesen. Their rich history of craftsmanship and commitment to exceptional material quality played a huge role. When you know you’re working with the best materials, it’s easier to trust your instincts.
To bring everything together, I partnered with Gribskov Inventarsnedkeri, collaborating with Marcus Klogborg and his talented team. Their expertise in woodworking ensured that the design wasn’t just an idea—but a finished piece exactly how I imagined it.
What made this challenge special was how personal it felt. The process wasn’t rushed; it was intentional, collaborative, and—above all—true to my vision. Every detail reflected decisions I stood by with confidence.
Looking back, I realize that the feeling of nervousness I had this time wasn’t about doubt—it was about caring deeply because I was fully satisfied with the direction. When you believe in every step of the process, the nerves come from wanting others to see what you see.

Seeing it all come together in episode 2 reminded me why I love designing: it’s about creating stories, not just objects.
